Congratulations to the PSHS Bulldogs that participated in the YSU English Festival! Senior Francesca DiTommaso earned first place in "Not So Trivial Pursuit". Sophomore Monica Moore was not far behind her, earning third place in the same category. Bulldogs also found success in the Stephen Sniderman Memorial Writing Games category, as Senior Erika Casey earned second place, and Monica Moore earned an Honorable Mention. Way to represent PSHS, Bulldogs!

Over 25 Poland Seminary Junior High student musicians participated at the Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA) District 5 Solo & Ensemble on March 22, 2025. Overall, students representing PSHS earned 11 Superior (I) ratings and 6 Excellent (II) ratings from judges. Congratulations to all Bulldogs and their directors, Mr. Jeff Hvizdos, Mr. Jeff Penney, and Percussion Instructor, Mr. Matt Hayes, on their successes and talents while representing the district!

Poland educator Rick DiNunzio was recognized among the region’s top teachers at the Mahoning Valley Educators of the Year event held Tuesday at the Eastwood Event Centre in Niles. DiNunzio, selected to represent the Poland Local School District, was one of 33 educators honored for their dedication and impact on students in Mahoning, Trumbull, and Columbiana counties.

Two Poland Seminary High School seniors from the Class of 2025 have committed to serving the United States through distinguished college programs. Michael Daley has been appointed to the United States Naval Academy, and Oliver McCully has earned a full-tuition scholarship to Tulane University through the Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (AROTC) program.
