The Poland Seminary High School Athletic Department will be closing Poland Stadium all day on Friday, April 25^th in preparation for the 29^th Annual Poland Track and Field Invitational being held on Saturday, April 26^th. The stadium will reopen on Sunday, April 27^th.  Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

8th Grade Parents: There will be a D.C. Trip Parent Meeting on Monday, May 5, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. in the PSHS Auditorium. Important details about the trip (May 21–23) will be shared.

PSHS ART SHOW | May 7, 2025 4-7:30 p.m. | The talented works of our 7th-12th grade Bulldogs will be on display in the PSHS Field House at our annual art show! See the creativity unleashed! Following the art show, the PSHS Band Concert will take place in the Auditorium. It will be a night full of Bulldog artistry.

The PSHS Interact Club recognizes one staff member each month who goes above and beyond in making a positive impact on Poland students. Congratulations to the Poland Seminary Junior High & Grade 9 Bulldogs that participated in the YSU English Festival on April 11, 2025! Seven Bulldogs from grades 7-9 earned awards, with four first place award winners and a second place winner!

Congratulations to the PSHS Bulldogs that participated in the YSU English Festival! Senior Francesca DiTommaso earned first place in "Not So Trivial Pursuit". Sophomore Monica Moore was not far behind her, earning third place in the same category. Bulldogs also found success in the Stephen Sniderman Memorial Writing Games category, as Senior Erika Casey earned second place, and Monica Moore earned an Honorable Mention. Way to represent PSHS, Bulldogs!

Over 25 Poland Seminary Junior High student musicians participated at the Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA) District 5 Solo & Ensemble on March 22, 2025. Overall, students representing PSHS earned 11 Superior (I) ratings and 6 Excellent (II) ratings from judges. Congratulations to all Bulldogs and their directors, Mr. Jeff Hvizdos, Mr. Jeff Penney, and Percussion Instructor, Mr. Matt Hayes, on their successes and talents while representing the district!

We captured a magical moment: The Poland Players visited McKinley Elementary to share a preview of their upcoming musical, Disney’s The Little Mermaid. Delaney, Alyssa, and Rowan reflect on the full-circle joy of performing for the younger students — just like they once experienced. This is Creativity Unleashed at Poland Local Schools

Poland educator Rick DiNunzio was recognized among the region’s top teachers at the Mahoning Valley Educators of the Year event held Tuesday at the Eastwood Event Centre in Niles. DiNunzio, selected to represent the Poland Local School District, was one of 33 educators honored for their dedication and impact on students in Mahoning, Trumbull, and Columbiana counties.

Two Poland Seminary High School seniors from the Class of 2025 have committed to serving the United States through distinguished college programs. Michael Daley has been appointed to the United States Naval Academy, and Oliver McCully has earned a full-tuition scholarship to Tulane University through the Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (AROTC) program.

March 16-22, 2025 is Severe Weather Awareness Week in Ohio. Poland Local Schools will be participating in the Statewide Tornado Drill on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at 9:50 a.m.
