Three Poland Seminary High School students have been selected to participate in STEM summer research project internships at Youngstown State University. Incoming seniors Kate Blumel, Liz Rutana, and Douglas Stoudt Jr. will be contributing to research in Chemical Engineering, Biology, and Mathematics respectively.

Congratulations to our Junior High bands and choirs on a stellar display of creativity unleashed at their Spring Concert. The junior high choir performed songs of Spanish heritage and finished with an American "one-hit wonder!" Our 7th grade band played a diverse grouping of genres, marching and breezing through a nice ballad. Finally, our 8th grade band took us out of this world with a tribute to the moon landing and other show tunes. Enjoy the photos here:

PROM SEND-OFF! Our Bulldogs are headed to Prom, and thanks to our friends at PSHS and partners, we were able to throw a little "send-off" event to get photos while all dressed up! Thank you to Mrs. Hurdley's Communications class for treating the Bulldogs to a fun evening, and special thank you to our friends Mrs. DeMain for the balloon display, Mrs. Melone, Giant Eagle Poland, and The Flower Loft in Poland!

Creativity was unleashed at the PSHS Art Show! Congratulations to all of our student artists on an outstanding showing of their talents. Senior Gavin Mathew was awarded Best in Show with Sophomore Ashlynn Kushner earning second and Junior Catherine Dunham earning third. We especially thank Mrs. Holub and her students for their work and dedication in making the event such a celebration of artistry!

The Poland High School Athletic Department will hold its Fall Sports Parent Meeting on Monday, June 2nd at 6:00 PM in the High School Auditorium. This meeting is mandatory for parents of any student who will be participating in Middle School or High School Fall Sport during the upcoming school year. Important information regarding athletic policies, procedures, and expectations for the fall season will be shared. Please note: Student athletes do not need to attend this meeting. Your attendance is greatly appreciated as we prepare for a successful and well-organized start to the fall sports season.

The Poland Middle School Kindness Club and PSHS Interact Club teamed up for a special project... Students from the high school collaborated with fifth and sixth graders on writing cards and creating care/snack packages to present to our local firefighters Poland Fire District - WRJFD! The students packed bags full of treats and kind messages, even making a delivery to our hometown heroes! Thank you to Mrs. Martin, Mr. Martin, and Mrs. Butch for organizing such a heartfelt surprise for our community!
