On Friday, September 13, 2024, Poland Local School District was made aware of a gas leak near the Poland McKinley Elementary (K-3) & Poland Middle School (4-6) facility. Local authorities were on the scene and notified the district that the facility should be evacuated. A Bulldog Alert was then issued.

THIS BULLDOG ALERT HAS EXPIRED.
At 1:32 p.m., local officials have given Poland Local School District the ALL-CLEAR status for our K-6 Facility.
Poland Local Schools to normal operations. Students are returning back to the facility to operate under normal protocol. There are no alternative dismissal procedures.

### Due to a gas leak on Michigan Avenue near the Poland Middle School/McKinley Elementary facility, local officials have directed all constituents of the facility to EVACUATE under district emergency protocol. Under evacuation protocols, McKinley elementary and Poland Middle School have both been evacuated completely. McKinley Attendance (K-3): Attendance taken, all students in attendance accounted for. Poland Middle School (4-6): Attendance taken, all students in attendance accounted for. Please stay tuned for further updates. |
